Design Joulu is the most wonderful Christmas weekend, filled with Finnish design and festive atmosphere
Design Joulu brings together Finnish designers and design lovers at Finlandia Hall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Alvar Aalto’s iconic masterpiece, Finlandia Hall, is a captivating event venue and an inspiring meeting place located in the heart of Helsinki, by Töölönlahti Bay.
A weekend filled with Finnish design, culture, art, and festive Christmas experiences awaits — for both children and adults! The event features a curated selection of wonderful Christmas gifts from over 80 Finnish designers, from art and ceramics to jewellery, clothing, homeware and natural cosmetics. You can also take part in creative workshops and enjoy a festive programme of music, and other seasonal activities throughout the weekend.
The stunning Finlandia Exhibition, Visions of Alvar Aalto, showcasing the life and creativity of Alvar, Aino, and Elissa Aalto, will be open throughout the weekend. Finlandia Hall’s cosy restaurants, Finlandia Cafe&Wine and Finlandia Bistro, offer seasonal treats and a relaxing break during the event.
