Mr. Dad
Mr. Dad is a duo of two singer-songwriters Lionel Burton-Hill (Wilhelm Jakob Toussaint Enckell) and Eugene Farmichaels (Hannu-Pekka Siikasaari), whose music relies on witty storytelling, vocal harmonies and catchy melodies. The band’s sunny sound world flows strongly in the whirlwinds of the 70s and 80s, and the band’s name, at least according to rumors, is a reference to the singers’ moderate “Dad rock issue”. The music is created from start to finish by these two artists, mainly in the Hakanieme living room. Mr. Dad’s first album will be released in the fall of 2023, and in the band’s live set, in addition to vocal themes and acoustic guitars, there may also be e.g. Congas and saxophone – there will be a relaxed and carefree summer mood.
