The safety of our customers is of the utmost importance to us. At Finlandia Hall, we are doing everything we can to make sure that events at Finlandia Hall are always organized safely. When planning an event, we go through all the details carefully with the event organizer.
ARRIVING AT FINLANDIA HALL
- Please do not come to Finlandia Hall if you are ill.
- You should not attend events if you have any symptoms of an illness.
- Symptoms that may indicate a coronavirus infection include a cough, sore throat, fever, shortness of breath, muscle pain, stomach complaints and headache.
HYGIENE IS IMPORTANT
- Please wash your hands thoroughly when you arrive at Finlandia Hall. The toilet facilities can be used to wash your hands.
- Hand sanitizer is available at the entrances, near the cloakroom, and in toilet facilities.
- If you need to cough or sneeze, please do so into a disposable tissue. Throw the tissue away once you have used it. If you do not have any tissues, please cough into your elbow.
- Finlandia Hall is following government and official guidance on the use of face masks. If no official guidelines apply, Finlandia Hall will make decisions at its discretion, including on an event-specific basis.
- The event organizer may also decide on the use of face masks at the event. Instructions always apply to everyone attending the event.
HEALTH SAFETY
- The spacious lobby and meeting rooms make it possible to organize events taking into account safety intervals and existing restrictions.
- Ventilation in all rooms is very efficient. Air entering all spaces circulates out of the space.
- Ventilation filters are the latest on the market and meet the level of hospital requirements.
- Filters are cleaned and serviced regularly.
CLEANING
- Every employee at Finlandia Hall does their part with regard to cleanliness, and reports if any area requires special attention. We encourage our guests to do the same.
- In Little Finlandia, special attention is paid to cleanliness in both normal and exceptional conditions.
- Particular attention is paid to cleaning surfaces and objects that are touched by hand. These include, for example, tables, handrails, chairs, light switches, door handles, taps, toilet knobs, payment terminals and electronic customer feedback systems.
WE MAINTAIN SAFE DISTANCES
- Please remember to maintain safety distances to other participants in all situations.
- The space is designed so that unnecessary crowding shouldn’t happen
MOVEMENT AT THE EVENT
- Please follow the instructions given separately when moving around the premises and in the rooms reserved for the event
- We aim to arrange passageways in ways that prevent unnecessary crowding
- In event rooms, we arrange chairs with adequate distance in between them
CATERING
- Finlandia Restaurant’s self-monitoring instructions have been prepared in accordance with the Government Decree on the temporary restriction of the activities of catering establishments in order to prevent the spread of infectious diseases
- The dispensing of alcoholic beverages referred to in the Alcohol Act may be started at the catering shop no earlier than 9 am and must be stopped no later than 01.30 and the doors closed at 02.00.
- The butlers and other staff direct the customers to their own tables and ensure that the space is not filled beyond the agreed amount and that no queues are created.
- Customers are also guided at the doors of the serving room and with the signs in the premises.
- Hand sanitizer is available in the restaurant areas.
- The staff wear a protective mask or visor in serving situations.
- Levels such as tables, counters and armrests are effectively wiped and disinfected after each customer. Tablecloths are also always changed after use.
- All payment terminals are in use are disinfected regularly.
At Finlandia Hall, we carefully comply with official guidance. As an experienced venue hall and with our professional staff, we can ensure the safety of our premises and services.

Organizing private events
There are no restrictions on private events in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Even in private events, it is a good idea to follow the recommendations given for health safety, such as just being completely asymptomatic to attend, good hand hygiene, and keeping a sufficient distance.
