Finlandia Hall monitors the coronavirus situation closely

Updated 26.3.
We ask our customers to note that on March 25, 2020, the Finnish government decided to restrict traffic between the province of Uusimaa and other provinces from Friday 27 March. Restrictions are valid until April 19, 2020. The purpose of the new movement restrictions is to prevent coronavirus infections and to slow the spread of the epidemic from Uusimaa to other parts of Finland.

The events planned for the spring will be canceled or postponed by the event organizers according to the instructions of the authorities at a time suitable for the client.

Due to the change in the coronavirus situation, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has on March 12 instructed Finnish event organizers to reschedule or cancel occasions and events for over 500 persons in Finland. Finlandia Hall follows instructions from authorities precisely.

As Finlandia Hall houses numerous events of various sizes, we always prioritize the safety of both customers and personnel. We have increased surface cleaning and equipped all toilet and cloakroom facilities with hand sanitizers. The most important and effective way of preventing the virus from spreading is good hand hygiene. We avoid handshaking at Finlandia Hall and have added The Finnish Institute for Healtcare and Welfare's guidelines to our public areas. In public areas, contact surfaces are wiped with a detergent and then treated with disinfectant. The cleaning instructions follow the separate instructions given by The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare for cleaning the premises.

We monitor the coronavirus situation closely and engage in close cooperation with the authorities. As we train our personnel on a constant basis, they are well informed and able to react to changing situations swiftly. Moreover, all our partners follow the health authorities’ communications closely and comply with their guidelines carefully.
